Nocciolino is a highly versatile wine with a structured taste, moderately tannic with an intense and persistent aftertaste. Its aroma is characterised by notes of black cherry, plum, rose petals and spicy hints of black pepper, cloves and cinnamon. Ideal enjoyed at the end of a meal as an accompaniment to a light dessert.

Vineyards:
• Area: Monforte d'Alba.
• Grapes: Nebbiolo 80-100%, other red grapes of our property depending from the vintage.
• Exposure: South, south-west.
• Altitude: 450 – 480 mt s.l.m.
• Strains per hectare: 4500.
• Vine training: Guyot.
• Harvest period: September - October.
Winery:
Manual harvesting, maceration with the skins for 7 days at a temperature of about 26° C in stainless steel tanks, completes malolactic fermentation before winter. It ages in stainless steel tanks for around 12 months.
• Alcohol content: 14%.
Tasting:
• Colour: Garnet red.
• Smell: Pleasant and intense of dried rose petals and violet, little red fruits with spicy and toasted hints of liquorice and black pepper.
• Flavour: Dry and elegant, with a remarkable freshness and a delicate bitter hint. Young tannins and a good alcohol content make every sip persistent and satisfying.
•Temperature of service: As an aperitif during the hot season: 12-14°, otherwise 16-18°.
• Food pairing: Ideally paired with traditional Langhe dishes, such as fresh pasta starters with meat and sauces or boiled meats, it suits well also as an aperitif with salami, fresh and medium-aged cheeses.
