The wines i love
I look for simplicity in my wines,
which is contrary to triviality.
I dream of a Barolo wine which is not confined to the cellar, but that can be drunk every day. A wine that is extraordinary because it can be enjoyed every day; a wine that takes great pride in its origins, without being conceited.
I love wines that are like me: straightforward, honest, and deep.
Wines that go straight to the point, without beating around the bush, but with charming hues and the right complexity.
I love wines that tell delicious stories, which you never want to stop savouring.
Like the heroes of a novel, they can be blameless, pure, and authentic. But they also leave room for a bit of suspense, making you wish for another sip, another glass, another adventure.
I love wines that are hearty, cheerful, and full of life.
The ones you want to drink when you dine with your friends, that move you to make a toast and begin a long speech.
I love wines that come to an end.
Because they never tire you, and always make you want another glass. The ones that leave a good impression, and make you say: “We drank well”, or “Good wine choice.” And anyway, you can always come and visit me in the winery to uncork a new bottle.

Terroir and refinement
The approach we have chosen for our winery is focused on the terroir, drinkability and identifiability of our grape varieties. We follow a traditional approach, but open to new techniques and not stuck in the past. Young red grape varieties like Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto d’Alba age in steel vats, so that their juicy tastes and delicate flower fragrances, typical of each vine variety, can always be identified. Barolo ages in big, averagely or lightly toasted barrels, so that the wood influence is never too strong and the wine can become full-bodied but delicate, with a perfect balance between intensity and refinement.
